About us
Open Source UC (OSUC) is the leading student tech-innovation community at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
Since 2006, we have led technology innovation projects created by students, for students, fostering collaboration and hands-on learning.
Now, we expand our impact with Hackscate: a space where ideas transform into real solutions.
The Event
Hackscate is a 9-hour hackathon where students from all majors and levels collaborate to build innovative tech products that solve real problems.
We'll bring together 60 innovators at Centro de Extensión, Campus Oriente UC-Chile, creating a unique environment of creativity, learning, and networking.
The event will take place on Friday, December 5th, 2025.
